We had a really rough night last night. Micah woke every few hours just crying and crying. He didn't seem to be in pain, and he had just had a dose of Motrin. He just cried and refused to go back to sleep. I'm wondering if he had a round of bad dreams. A lot has happened to our little guy in the last week and maybe he's integrating it through dreaming. He woke up a lit cranky, but seems to be doing better during the day. We'll see how tonight goes.

Hugs, Karen! Nighttime is hard. He has time to think about things in his little boy head, and he is probably just processing everything that he has gone through recently...and how does he express it all? Tears! He can't really tell you "This sucks!". He also could be dreaming about an experience, whether it be China or the hospital... hard to say.
Give him a big hug and kiss from everyone who's thinking of him! Hopefully his clouds will part soon!
Hoping for better nights for all of you
No doubt Micah is processing everything that is happening while his body rests. Grace used to have night terrors and they got really bad when she was dealing with something she considered stressful. The good thing is that once she "dealt" with it, the terrors went away. We helped her by responding when she cried and just stroking and comforting her (as much as she would allow it). Good luck!
Poor guy. I would keep him on the Motrin round the clock, at least through the first week. We began weaning her off of it (giving her less and in longer stretches of time) during the 2nd week. Nights are just harder. I'll pray for better sleep tonight!
