Day Two: Fly to Zhengzhou

We're getting Noah tomorrow! Today was our last day in Beijing. Our bags were packed and loaded at 7 a.m. and we were off to the airport. We slept 4 hours straight, from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m.  We actually felt fairly rested, considering Micah had two bad night terror episodes between 1130 and 1230.  Poor guy.  He just couldn't stop crying, and then finally was all tired out and went back to sleep. We figure it's the closeness of being back in China and all the memories coming back to the surface- people talking to Micah in Chinese, the traffic, the non-western potties, the traffic. Did I mention the traffic?  We arrived safe and sound in Zhengzhou this afternoon (China time) and began a host of errands that needed to be completed: change dollars for Yuan for fees that need to be paid tomorrow at a local bank, a trip to the local WalMart to buy supplies, unpacking and setting up the room in preparation for getting Noah.  Micah is very excited and can't wait for his little brother to get here. He helped Mama set up the crib in our room, and took out all his trains and cars so that Noah can play with them when he gets here. Tomorrow is the big day. We can't wait to get Noah, hold him and bring him into our family!

I'm so excited for you. I'm sorry to hear that Micah is having bad dreams. So glad that he is excited about becoming a big brother. Can't wait to see your next post with little Noah in your arms!!

Just so you know, I am completely stalking that hotel room in your picture! I will probably have it memorized...along with all your other pictures from the trip...by the time I head that way in a few months. Be sure to tell the orphanage staff to take good care of my boy, okay? :)

I'm so sorry to hear about Micah. I know that's rough. My Eli used to have night terrors when he was little, and they're just horrible. I'm sure your theory about being back in China is right on...which just breaks my heart! I will be praying for him, and for all of you as you become a family of FOUR! Oh, what a glorious thought!!!!
